International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.
For this year's International Women's Day, we wanted to share the influential and talented women who are a part of our Advisory Group.
MARILISE DE VILLIERS
Marilise de Villiers Basson Consulting
Marilise de Villiers is a people and change leader. Marilise helps Executives to deliver an organisation’s purpose, values, and strategy by designing and implementing innovative and measurable employee engagement, learning and behavioural change strategies and programmes.
Marilise’s specialism is global cyber security transformation programmes, where she helps CISOs to create effective strategies for raising awareness of cyber risks, training colleagues to be cyber confident and competent, and embedding positive security behaviours into an organisation’s culture (DNA).
For over 20 years, Marilise has been designing and implementing people solutions (as part of global transformation programmes). She spent 16 years at PwC as a senior people and change consultant (main clients were Diageo, BP, Coca Cola Enterprises, Information Security Forum and NATS). Since starting Marilise de Villiers Basson Consulting in 2017, Marilise has held interim operational roles at Centrica and HSBC, as Global Head of Cyber Security Awareness, Culture and Training.

NICOLE KEELEY
Head of Cyber Security Oversight
UK Civil Aviation Authority
Nicole leads the team responsible for regulatory cyber security oversight, for aviation in the UK. Her aim is to have a proportionate and effective approach that enables aviation to manage cyber security risks without compromising aviation safety, security or resilience (with a particular focus on critical national infrastructure). Having worked in a variety of industries in various GRC and technical information security roles, she loves the interconnected and diverse nature of aviation.
AGNES BAILEY
Headteacher at Ash Manor School
Agnes taught her first maths lesson in 1984 in Scotland. She moved to Berkshire in 2002 as Head of Mathematics before becoming an Advanced Skills Teacher. She has worked in East Ayrshire, Bracknell Forest, Wokingham, Hackney and Merton in a range of pastoral and curricular roles.
Agnes's move into school leadership has seen her work across a range of contexts including single and mixed sex schools; areas with relative affluence and those with socio-economic challenges. In all these roles she has put a passion for young people to achieve at the heart of her work, which in turn has seen an upturn in the students’ academic and social outcomes.
Agnes has been headteacher of Ash Manor School in Surrey since January 2016 and is incredibly proud of what the young people in her school achieve.
HEATHER HADFIELD
South East Grid for Learning
Heather is the consortium manager for South East Grid for Learning (SEGfL), one of the 7 remaining regional broadband consortia in England. Heather has driven the profile in cyber security across the consortium through involvement with partners such as the SEROCU, helping to raise awareness in schools and member local authorities.
Heather is the vice-chair of the NEN- the education network and on behalf of the group worked with NCSC on a joint project to increase cyber security awareness for school staff through easy to follow resource cards. She represents the NEN on two Digital Policy Alliance groups: cyber security/ E-crime and 21st Century skills, providing a voice for the schools’ sector. Heather is also the South East
regional lead for the DfE EdTech Demonstrator Programme.
Heather is passionate in ensuring cyber security is not solely a technical subject but one that also focuses on behaviours and simple messaging.
