New recruit joins the SECRC team

The South East Cyber Resilience Centre has recruited Jeff Maynard, an experienced Police Volunteer and IT Professional to join the team as a Client Relations Volunteer.

Jeff is a long-time IT professional which has seen him create and launch the world’s first online backup service. Jeff is an expert on business continuity and was IT Entrepreneur of the Year, 2000.


Since retiring, Jeff has provided expertise and experience supporting the police forces of Thames Valley, Surrey, and Sussex with specialist roles in Fraud and Cybercrime prevention and awareness. Additionally, Jeff brings a wealth of experience in corporate governance and related activities.


Justin Torgout, Director of the SECRC said: “I’m thrilled to have Jeff on board, to work alongside myself and the wider team at the SECRC. His experience in corporate governance and cybercrime prevention will be a valuable asset as we work to support more and more businesses in the South East region.”
