The South East Cyber Resilience Centre (SECRC) working in conjunction with its Trusted Partners has produced a 6-part video series to educate businesses in the South East on Cyber Essentials and why businesses should become Cyber Essentials certified.
Trusted Partners are official providers of Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus Certification to our local businesses and charities.
Cyber Essentials helps you to guard against the most common cyber threats and demonstrates your commitment to cyber security, which can often become a requirement when tendering for work in both public and private sectors.
Cyber Essentials is a simple but effective Government backed scheme that will help you to protect your organisation, whatever its size, against a whole range of the most common cyber attacks.

Over the next few weeks, the series will be published to take businesses through the 5 Cyber Essentials control areas.
Today the first two episodes of the series have been published.
Episode 1 introduces the Cyber Essentials Scheme, how businesses can become certified, the Cyber Essentials Controls, and how the SECRC can support with certification.
Episode 2 looks at Access Control to advise businesses on how ensuring that employees have the correct access levels for their roles and how access permissions should be monitored and checked regularly.
