The Cyber Resilience Centre for the South East was established to provide its core service for free, giving out some great and plain-English guidance on how to make your IT safer. But the centre’s commercial approach allows it to do more than you’d traditionally expect from policing: it can contract directly with you to provide affordable cyber security services via the CRCs student services programme.
If we are unable to support you via one of our cyber security services, we can refer you to our Trusted Partner network. We often mention our Trusted Partners, they are official providers of Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus Certification to our local businesses and charities.
Alongside this, many of our Trusted Partners also provide a range of other services that include cyber information and assurance services, data protection services and risk management services, plus many more!
Recently, we supported a local charity to secure a Trusted Partner who could help them with providing a high level of security testing on a new product they is being developed. Both the SECRC and the chosen Trusted Partner, Fortis Cyber Security Limited have received fantastic feedback on this work.
The charity said:
"We recently approached The Cyber Resilience Centre for the South East to carry out their Web Application Vulnerability Assessment on a new product that we at TecSOS have been working to create. The team at The Cyber Resilience Centre for the South East were able to advise us that we needed a higher level of security testing due to sensitivities involved with the new product. This is something we were unaware of and the SECRC team were quick to recommend a pool of trusted providers who we could approach to complete this testing for us. By providing this pool, the SECRC saved us valuable time that would have otherwise been spent looking for a trusted provider in an area we do not have expertise in. We chose to work with Fortis Cyber Security Limited who delivered an excellent service for us, and I wouldn’t hesitate to get in touch with the SECRC team for future recommendations and services."
