The Cyber Resilience Centre for the South East reaches 200 members milestone

Over 200 businesses in the South East region are now being supported by a dedicated policing-led centre, which has been established to help protect businesses across the region from cyber crime.


Established in 2020, The Cyber Resilience Centre for the South East (SECRC) offers a range a membership options depending on what level of support businesses in Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire need.


Businesses in the South East can sign up for a free Core Membership online and receive a welcome pack full of practical resources and tools that will help you identify your risks and vulnerabilities and the steps you can take to increase your levels of protection. Through your membership, you will also get regular updates on new threats, designed to help you stay safer.


Those currently signed up as members of the SECRC are from a wide range of industry’s including, Leisure and Travel, retail and Hospitality, Construction and Architecture, Manufacturing and Engineering, Financial and Legal, Charity/Not for Profit and Education and Academia.


The businesses currently supported range from micro businesses through to large organisations, as no business is too small or large to be of interest to cyber criminals.


In the last 12 months, four in ten businesses (39%) and a quarter of charities (26%) have reported cyber security breaches or attacks, so there has never been a better time to improve your businesses cyber resilience.
